No Girls Allowed!

Daddy and Alec had a super fun evening recently. Alec is, without a doubt, ALL BOY. Daddy built him a 'fort' from a blanket that stretched over a chair and ottoman in our family room. Alec had a BLAST hiding under his fort and being chased into and out of it. Mommy tried to replicate the fort the next day but got yelled at. Apparently, forts are only for boys :(

This is so much fun!

Look at them staring at me...no girls allowed :(

Many Faces of Alec

I had to write one more post. These pictures are too funny for me to not put up! While I'm working on my photography skills and learning how to use my fancy schmancy new camera, Daddy gets full credit for capturing these silly expressions. The last one is our favorite. We laugh out loud everytime we look at it! NO idea what Alec was doing/thinking.

Look Who's Walking!

Alec is!! He took his first steps a few weeks ago but he wasn't getting up, letting go of things (i.e. push toys, furniture) and walking on his own unless Daddy & I were there encouraging him and holding our hands out. But this week, he's been getting up and letting go somewhat consistently. Today, he turned over a new leaf and he began to walk around unprompted! We are so proud of him. When we cheer him on and share our joy, he beams with pride. It's so cute to see. (PS-Notice how his blankie needs to be nearby for reassurance).

January 18th

Decided to create a family blog now rather than waiting until we had a second child. I really planned to wait on creating one only so that we'd have more updates and more (hopefully) exciting things to write about, but several coincidences over the last week have shown me that I should create one now. Sooo here it is. My first entry into our family's blog. It'll get more interesting and exciting. I promise I'll try to make it that way:)

So, friends and family, welcome! Here I hope to keep you updated on what we're up to and to provide you with updates on what Alec is doing these days. Enjoy reading!
